We connect rowers who love to travel. Rowers are passionate about their sport – we are rowers who are also passionate about travel. Rowing is a sport that is about place - where you row and the experience of rowing matters. Travel is about place and experiences. Rowing and travel make a natural pair, a good double.

Three fabulous rowing days on Lake Maggiore and Lake Lugano, the rowing each day was different and the scenery was magnificent. This is the best way to see and enjoy this area. Luigi was a welcoming and generous host and I was accompanied in the support boat by Jacopo and Erik, great company. A very special experience.

This trip was exactly what I needed. I rowed in the morning and read and relaxed in the afternoon listening to the ocean waves. I went to celebrate my 40th birthday and was able to row 100k while I was there. The row to the island and back was a fun adventure and the lodge on the island is hidden gem. Open water rowing was new to me and very different than lake and river rowing. The accommodations were perfect for a vacation getaway. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who wants a new rowing adventure mixed with a relaxing getaway.

We had a fantastic rowing tour. Luigi and the team were very accommodating and delivered a memorable rowing experience. The rows were tailored to my preferences and adjusted to account for weather conditions to deliver the best possible results. My wife attended as a non rower and enjoyed the variety of sightseeing experiences including panoramic views. We stayed at the Park Hotel in Cannero right across from Luino. You do need to “commute” via the ferry but it traveled often and did not present a problem. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for a luxury experience with a room with a balcony overlooking the lake.

The trip exceeded all my expectations. The quality of the team was amazing. The quality of the boats, hotels, restaurants, rows .. everything was amazing. I have 15 trips with this organization, this was above and beyond all others, and they were exceptional. I cannot thank Ruth enough for her hard work and effort, not to mention, I would not have wanted anyone else directing the rowing… exceptional. You have so much to be appreciated for. And yes would definitely row again in Japan…or anywhere with Rowing the World.

A uniquely memorable trip of-a-lifetime! Accommodations delivered quality, comfort, and a taste of Japan’s meticulous hospitality. FYI, when staying at an Onsen be sure to inquire about private or shared public baths. The culinary experience was exciting, palate broadening, and delicious. Rowing excursions were exhilarating, adventurous, and well planned. It was so much fun to meet, work, and play with our culturally diverse rowing group and the Japanese host rowing clubs. I would do it all again! Kudos to Ruth and the J Team - James and Kotone for orchestrating and delivering a fantastically successful Japan Rowing and cultural trip.
